Artist's Comments

The result of duck-taping my Canon XSi to my hand and then sticking it out of the top of my car (Nissan 300zx with t-tops) while speeding around mountain curves >:)

A daily deviation . . . . how . . . *adjusts monacle* . . .

I like this impromptu photo for several reasons.

First, I love the spectacular mix of autumn colors.

Secondly, the blurred edges indicate you are moving, which is obvious, as it is noted in the description; I do find it interesting and creative how you got the shot by taping the camera to your hand.

Another feature that I like is the road.

The road curves, and with the scenery see in this shot, it implies that there is more to come,
It leads me to wonder, 'What is around that curve?'

If I could touch this image and go to that location, the first thing I would do is walk around that curve and see what's there.

First of all i want to say that the title suits this shot perfectly, you really get the idea this was taken at a high speed. It makes you wonder why was the person in such a hurry.

It takes a great amount of Balls to hang out your car at 60 mph with your (expensive) camera in your hand, even in this conditions the photographer managed to get a great composition and some great lighting.

I wonder though that the shot might have become a bit too busy to be easy to look it, but overall it is just a beautiful photograph taken with real guts, well done.

This is a fantastic piece, the colours of the trees are so vivid and beautiful and their blurred presentation is ingeniously achieved. :)

And the blurred wet road looks amazing.
Very nice. :)
